The market economy is undergoing significant changes now a days. These changes have led to the need for competent management professionals who can contribute to the effective utilisation of resources. In today's world, there is emerging need for management related subjects at the global level. For all these reasons management related courses will be of great significance.
       In this context, Christ Nagar management has always tried to promote such courses. The management department of Christ Nagar college was started in 2012 with 32 students. The very first batch passed out in flying colours and one of our students bagged the first rank under the University of Kerala.
    Presently we have three batches with 50, 63, and 62 students in each batch. Our seven final year students scored A grade in the previous semester examinations.The Management Association of Christ Nagar college, ABATS ( Association of Business Acumen and Talent Search) conducts seminars, quiz competitions and management games annually. We have also put effort in moulding 5 C's in our students, ie communication skills, confidence, creativity, co-ordination and cultural values. An industrial visit and study tour is also undertaken for final year batches. Our students also participate in various inter-collegiate management fests.
      The Department of Management Studies is headed by Dr. C. Geevargheese , formerly the senior faculty of post graduate and research, department of Commerce and Tourism, Mar Ivanoise college. The Department of Management Studies is supported by professionally qualified faculty members. The teaching methodology includes both conventional and modern techniques. In addition, for motivating the low achievers, continuous evaluation is being done and remedial classes are also arranged for them. The students are also provided with add-on courses from TIME, NIIT, B.Positive etc which help them get prepared for various competitive examination.
